What to do on a snow day?

Make a pie...

Then go out for a walk, to get some pics. This one was interesting, because it was a little smeared, so I added a watercolor effect on it, and got what you see. I guess you have to click on it to see the effect.

And this is what was happening to my favorite stream. The light colored stuff floating down the stream are floating rafts of snow. The water is so close to freezing, the snow can survive, floating.(the coldest water is at the top, 38 degree water is densest & sinks to the bottom)

That pie looks delicious. Yum. I love seeing the snow. I'm sure you must be tired of it, but wow, it does make for some beautiful photographs. Nice watercolor.

Wow - that looks scrumptious! I always have difficulty with pies - either they are too dry or too juicy. You seem to have got it just right. What a lovely way to spend a snow day.

Hey, RD

I don't mind the snow, it's when the snow all melts, and leaves behind the dirty brown scum on everything. I cannot wait for spring, I need to open all the windows and air everything out!

Hey, FLS

A nice warm piece of apple pie, and a cuppa joe goes down well after shoveling the driveway!

You could come make a pie at my house... even though it's... erm... 80 degrees outside.

PIE! Pie is always on my list of what to eat when tragedy strikes. It is the undisputed king of all the comport foods, well, cept for Ice Cream. Rain in the summer is the kind of tragedy that call's for both!

Hey Andi,

Hubby tends to eat his piece, and then another his piece. I often cannot make him wait until it cools, before he's scooping out a "pile 'o pie"!

Hey Lab Kat, 80 degrees sounds like heaven, I make the pies so I can have a warm kitchen for awhile!

Hey MM, *that's* what I was missing! gots to get me some french vanilla to melt over that puppy!
