Valentine's Day
We only got around a foot to two feet of snow last weekend, and with the temps in the high 40's this week, it's melting fast!

Just about a half hour after I took this pic, the whole row came crashing down. (That's why they call them widowmakers.)

God - how absolutely beautiful. You are lucky - where you live looks like heaven! Oh - and I answered your comment on my recent post. I know - not something I usually do - but I wanted to speak to the points you made.
Take care and keep warm!
Hey FLS,
I only take pictures of the good stuff!! Seriously, a good photographer should be able to take a pic of anything and make it look special- not necessarily beautiful, but special nonetheless. I do avoid houses and other easily ID-able features.
It's supposed to be 49 degrees tomorrow! that will be heaven.
Then these are very special! Thanks for sharing them.
I'm not worth a dime with a camera. When I go to reach for one, I've been know to have my hands slapped. And rightfully so.
I'm losing my vision and I just can't seem to find enough things to look at. This will be one image I strive to keep in my memory bank.
Your pictures are beautiful. Snow pictures are great. Those icicles look deadly. The weather has been doing strange things, lately. Last week was nice, we had a couple snows, but they lasted hours. It's frigidly freezing, today. I know it was supposed to get down to about 8, this morning. Don't know what it is and refuse to go outside.
Hey MM, sorry to hear about your sight, I hope it's just old age, like mine(though it sounds more serious). I have had to use an auto focus for the last 5 years or so, I simply cannot see far enough to focus the camera. Thank goodness for technology! Now, with the new camera, I can point and shoot, and the memory stick in the camera holds hundreds of pics. I can keep the good ones, and dump the bad. I don't have to worry about how much film I'm wasting. I get about a 1% FANTASTIC! 20% acceptable, and the rest are relegated to the OH WELL category.. ;)
Hey OWL,
You've got that right! The weather is truly wiggy last few years. The "blizzard of 2006" has melted off, and I've never seen such schitzoid weather.
When I was a kid in the 50s and 60s, it started snowing late November, and didn't melt until April(other than one mid-February thaw, when mom would plant her peas). The lakes and ponds would ice over by mid December, and stay skate-able until spring. We have had open water in every month this year.
