Those are beautiful. Do you know what that lavender bell flower is? I like the patterns on the inside of the bell. I think a flower like that might look great in my yard:)

I clicked on the photo to see the patterns closer. It looks as though aphids or something have gotten to the leaves. Do you think that's what caused the patterns inside the flower?

Hey OWL, that would be foxglove (digitalis) it's a two year perrenial (doesn't bloom the first year) and you can get it in colors from pristine white to deep purples. The patterns are part of the flower, and the leaves, well, I went out and looked at them, because they do look in the pic like they've been munched on. But, nope, no sign of insects, they are leathery leaves, and not crisp like some plants(they feel like fine suede - and are flexible). We've been getting lots of rain, so it's not drought. Most of the leaves for that plant stay down around the base of the flower stems. The ones you see are the little stunted ones that grow along the flower stems. (kinda like broccoli.. maybe?)

I really like your garden, my dear. Everything looks so lush! We are having rain problems here - as in not having any! It's affecting the growth of just about everything. Looks like it’s gonna be a hot, dry summer. I hope you will put up lots of garden pics. I love looking at all your beautiful flowers!

Hey POP, I love love love the summer! One of these days, I may manage to convince my hubby that winter is optional..

Hey FLS, We've had a whole lot more rain than usual, and a little later than usual too. It's still not warmed up, though this weekend we may have some 80 degree weather.

It looks lush because I leave most of the weeds in my garden here at work, they seem to keep the dirt shaded and it ends up moister that way. Pull 'em out, and the dirt opens up and dries out quick.
