Do you want to know why I don't eat Beef?
There's been a recall of 27,700,000(27.7 million) pounds of Topps Beef - a whole YEAR's production - for bacterial contamination.
Whew! Who woulda seen THAT coming...?

well, i get your point about the meat industry....but, remember that Odwalla Juice had a huge recall of juice that was contaminated with ecoli? Fresh, pure, organic juice. Small bottler, small label. It does happen....I'm surprised there aren't more food safety debacles in this country....we have few inspectors covering a lot of ground. Ya eats yer food, ya takes yer chances!
Well, if they can't get us killed off in war they'll let us eat tainted food. Bush apparently sees little need for safeguards of any kind, the irresponsible lump of, well, you know.
That's a very good reason. I stopped eating it after Mad Cow became the bovine rage, especially in England. Lately, I've been less worried, eating it once in a while. I guess I'd better stick to fowl. Goddess knows what's in the turkey and chicken, though.
