Hey, where are you that you actually got some rain? We're up in the northwest. Plenty of clouds, but no moisture.
We are in Connecticut, where it's been hot and very humid, but not raining for weeks.
The garden pictured here is at work, and there we have a shallow well that serves the toilets. We bring in drinking water. I am not allowed to irrigate.
I was very interested in your system to capture rainwater. I had a 30 gal container attached to the downspout, and I was hauling the water around to the garden by 5gal containers on a dolly, and boy, did that cistern look good!
